Peak Performance Buoyancy
Course Overview
The purpose of the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Speciality Course is to polish a diver's buoyancy control beyond the Open Water Diver level. The goal of this course is to enhance the diver's buoyancy control abilities through knowledge development and practical skill practice.
Prerequisites
- Certified Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver
- Minimum age: 10 years old
Course Structure
This course will consist of academic sessions on the beach and any two ocean dives. In this course, you will be trained in the following Peak Performance Buoyancy fundamentals:
- Buoyancy Check
- Fine-tuning buoyancy underwater
- Weight positioning and distribution
- Streamlining
- Visualisation
- Hovering
- Establishing neutral buoyancy underwater throughout the dive
- Breathing Management
Students must review the Peak Performance Buoyancy Video/DVD before their dives.
