Course Overview

Certified divers enrolling in this program will have the opportunity to refresh their scuba skills.

Prerequisite

  • Diving certification

Course Structure

The academics are reviewed through home study by completing the PADI Scuba Tune-up Book or by re-reading the Open Water Manual.

Our program includes a confined water skill review. During this session the student will practise the skills they learned in their Open Water course:

  • Equipment setup
  • Entry/exit techniques.
  • Mask clearing and replacement
  • Proper finning techniques
  • Regulator clearing and recovery
  • Buoyancy skills - fin pivot and hovering
  • Out of air skills - alternate air source and emergency swimming ascent
  • Remove and replace the weight belt and scuba unit at the surface and underwater
  • Ample free time to practise the skills
  • Equipment breakdown

Equipment

All scuba equipment for the pool session can be supplied except for mask, snorkel, and fins.
